RSPO Certification for a Better Society
RSPO Certified products
Palm oil, obtained from the pulp of the oil palm, is the most widely produced and used vegetable oil in the world. In countries where large-scale oil palm plantations have been developed, serious problems have been pointed out, including environmental destruction and human rights abuses due to poor labor conditions on the plantations.
We have obtained RSPO Certification at our four Japanese factories (Nagoya, Kashima, Kyoto, and Kinuura). In April 2023, we began procuring and using RSPO Certified palm oil-derived raw materials for some of our surfactants for cosmetics, and began labeling them with the RSPO Certification.
