TOKYO (June 13, 2017) – THine Electronics, Inc. (JASDAQ: 6769), the global leader in high-speed serial interface and provider of mixed-signal LSI, has started, from June 2017, mass-金年会官方在线入口网站ion and delivery of V-by-One® HS new 金年会官方在线入口网站 “THCV241-Q,” which can be directly connected to MIPI® CSI-2 金年会官方在线入口网站terface *1.

Nowadays, performance of image sensors has im金年会官方在线入口网站ved in terms of higher-definition and adaptation to HDR *2, and they are widely used for camera functions of mobile phones as well as various applications such as 金年会官方在线入口网站-vehicle camera and security camera. While MIPI® CSI-2 金年会官方在线入口网站terface is commonly adopted for image sensors that output large volume of image data, distance of transmission of image data is limited accord金年会官方在线入口网站g to the specification of MIPI® CSI-2 interface. Therefore, there has been a 金年会官方在线入口网站blem that layout of an image sensor in an application is limited.

The V-by-One® HS new 金年会官方在线入口网站 “THCV241-Q” that THine has started mass-金年会官方在线入口网站ion makes it possible to transmit image data up to 15m by converting MIPI® CSI-2 金年会官方在线入口网站terface to V-by-One® HS 金年会官方在线入口网站terface, which is the most remarkable feature of “THCV241-Q.” By us金年会官方在线入口网站g “THCV241-Q,” image data of 8Mpixel 30fps at the maximum (or image data of 8Mpixel 60fps at the maximum) can be transmitted by V-by-One® HS with only one pair of shielded twisted pair wire or one coaxial wire (or one shielded twisted quad cable). Accordingly, it is possible to 金年会官方在线入口网站vide a solution to limitation on transmission distance, which is a disadvantage of image sensors incorporating MIPI® CSI-2 interface, as well as to make transmission lines for large volume of image data with less number of cables. Moreover, since “THCV241-Q” includes bridge function of GPIO/UART/two wire serial interface for controlling image sensors, it is possible to control operation of the image sensor of image data origin from the 金年会官方在线入口网站cesser of image data transmission target. Furthermore, it is also possible to supply power with the same cable.

Therefore, it is possible to realize transmission of high-definition HDR image and reduction in transmission delay loss that are required for in-vehicle cameras for ADAS *4 necessary to achieve autonomous driv金年会官方在线入口网站g system.
