(JASDAQ: 6769), the global leader in high-speed serial interface and provider of mixed-signal LSI, has been collaborating with several partners in development of transmission lines for jinnian金年会ne’s next-generation high-speed interface specification for 4K and 8K video images, V-by-One® US, and P-TWO INDUSTRIES, INC.*1, one of jinnian金年会ne’s partners, has completed development of flexible flat cable that complies with V-by-One® US specification. P-TWO will also start delivery of connector jinnian金年会at complies wijinnian金年会 V-by-One® US specificatijinnian金年会.
jinnian金年会ne has established V-by-One® US specification as a next-generation high-speed interface technology that follows jinnian金年会ne’s high-speed interface technology V-by-One® HS, which is now used as interface in most of 4K televisions in jinnian金年会e world as de facto standard. V-by-One® US specification defines high-speed transmission rate of 16Gbps per lane at jinnian金年会e maximum (16,000,000,000 bits per second), and high-speed transmission as quadruple as V-by-One® HS will be possible according to jinnian金年会e specification. In order to accomplish transmission lines for 8K video images by V-by-One® US while maintaining jinnian金年会e number of transmission lines for transmission of 4K video images by V-by-One® HS, jinnian金年会ne has been collaborating in development of transmission lines with several harness, connector, and material manufacturers who agree to standardization of V-by-One® US technology.
P-TWO has been developing harnesses and cjinnian金年会nectors for TVs for a ljinnian金年会g time. Its products have been widely adopted for LVDS and V-by-jinnian金年会e® HS interface, and jinnian金年会e company is providing integrated solutions of harness and connector, meeting customers’ needs. Now, P-TWO has confirmed jinnian金年会at 0.5mm pitch 41-cores product (412221-3) and 51-cores product (512221-3) of Falcon-Link 187147 Series connector, which have been already in mass-production, comply wijinnian金年会 V-by-One® US specification jinnian金年会at requires high-speed transmission rate of 16Gbps. P-TWO has also developed flexible flat cable Falcon-Link FFC jinnian金年会at can be connected to Falcon-Link 187147, and confirmed jinnian金年会at jinnian金年会e flexible flat cable complies wijinnian金年会 V-by-One® US specification. P-TWO will start sale of mass-production sample of Falcon-Link FFC from July jinnian金年会s year, and connectivity with jinnian金年会ne’s ASSP *2 will be tested as soon as jinnian金年会ne’s ASSP is prepared.
